GUSTATORY Redroaster

Redroaster Speciality Coffee Roasters

Back in 2000 Redroaster were one of the only roastery cafe’s in the country, and they became known as one of the pioneering specialty coffee roasters in the UK. 18 years later they proudly remain the only certified organic roastery in the South and the only Brighton roastery still operating from that era. The roastery is still located in the heart of Kemptown and every day they roast on their vintage Diedrich roasters.

With a huge variety of ethical projects, ever since 2016 Redroaster have directly supported their Rwandan farmers' families and the individuals involved in helping them to become self-sufficient. Such a co-operation began with the construction of a school in Musenyi, which has now completed, and a hospital (900 patients a month) is on the way. Such projects are part of a wider program which has included safe water, a community centre and farm equipment and training, all in all helping the village reach self-sufficiency.

...Whilst the purse strings may need to tighten, a better quality home-brewed coffee is still far less expensive than buying individual drinks on the go. Over the last few years, many have taken the opportunity to improve their home brewing skills, and now with the equipment and know-how to recreate that authentic coffee shop experience from home, are enjoying cheaper quality coffees. With cafe coffees costing anything from £2.50-4.00 each, and with a bag of 250g quality coffee costing between £7.00-12.50 and providing you with enough to achieve up to 15-35 brews per bag (depending on brew method and strength preferences), the savings and better quality coffee are both there to be enjoyed.

If this isn't you, there really is no better time to start. Better yet, at GUSTATORY you’ll find plenty of affordable multi-roaster coffee subscription packages, all featuring the most exciting roasters from Europe, UK, Australia and USA. It also won't be long until you discover a new favourite. All coffees are roasted fresh for us as part of our monthly subscription delivery schedules.
