Cold Brew Tea
Much like cold brew coffee, cold brew tea is tea that is brewed in cold water rather than hot. The process alters the taste profile as cold water extracts a different chemical balance from the tea than you'd get from hot water. If we want to get technical with this, which we really don't, then the result is that their are fewer catechins and less caffeine. Whilst catechins are antioxidants that provide a positive effect on the body, caffeine isn't always agreeable with people so cold brew teas provide that perfect alternative.
As for the taste, well, the process means that less bitter tasting chemicals are released so your tea will end up tasting sweeter and milder - and who doesn't love sweetening the deal? So, if you're looking for something a little different then our selection of cold brew teas from a independent brand partners might just be the ticket.
