Erasmus was a successful physician, poet and botanist, and led an era we now know as ‘The Age of Wonder’. Think hot air balloons, mammoth stories of botanical discovery and a fusion of art and science. But it was Erasmus’ thirst for knowledge and pioneering views which led him to help establish the first British anti slavery laws.
