Gravner
Bianco Breg 2011 Wine

A wine that speaks of history. This is a snapshot of the last 100 years in this part of the world: a village straddling the Italian and Slovenian borders. This wine is no longer made — it is truly a vinous document that lets you peek into the past. The vineyards it came from were replanted to indigenous varieties in 2012, but this beautiful floral blend of Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Welschriesling is testament to this vineyard's history. Think dried peaches, apricots, hay, wildflowers and strawberries. It is a special and rare opportunity to drink wine from plants that are no more.
