Keemun Loose Leaf Black Tea
Keemun is regarded by many as China's finest black tea. The name refers to Qimen county, which produced only green tea until the 1880s, when a young official lost his job and was disgraced. His father had advised him that it was a better guarantee of success to have a skill to make a living than to hold a position of authority. He traveled to Fujian to learn how to make black tea and on his return set up three factories to manufacture black tea from the same leaves his competitors were making green tea from.
