Produced by The Mierisch Family, we’re delighted to offer this washed processed Gesha, from their second Honduran farm, Santa Lucia. Santa Lucia was abandoned when the Mierisch family purchased it but they identified a lot of potentials, and fortunately, the necessary infrastructure was in place for coffee cultivation from day one, in the form of trees for shade and windbreaks. After confirming the potential of the farm, the family made a decision to only produce rare varieties like Gesha and Laurina at their new farm. This coffee displays the exceptional quality and clarity of flavour you’d expect from The Mierisch Family’s coffee. It’s also a superb example of the potential locked in the Gesha varietal. The final cup has a medium and delicate body, with a long, floral finish and notes of stone fruit.
Origin create a new and unique profile for each coffee they roast. Although the profiles are different, their approach is always the same - to highlight and accentuate the flavours created at the farm and mill. This means they don’t label their coffees as espresso, filter, dark or light roast. All of their coffees are omni-roast so are meant to be delicious however you brew. Origin believe the heart of speciality is keeping the identity and character of every coffee intact and alive, no matter the brew method.
