Finca Alto de los Santos Natural is the second coffee we bought this year from the producer’s co-op CAFESCOR (Cafés Especiales Corquin). Last May, Francesco and Miguel had the opportunity to visit the region of Copan (Western Honduras, not far from the border with Guatemala) to visit some of the farms, the HQ of the cooperative, the wet and the dry mills, and the organic fertilizer production plant where CAFESCOR transform the by-products of coffee into organic fertilizers to be distributed among its farmer members.
For NCR this visit marked an important step towards a more sound and direct relationship with our coffee suppliers. Indeed, during the visit, we closed a contract to import our first coffee container directly sourced from CAFESCOR.

Time passed and at 25 he got married, forming a family of 3 children, given the conditions of the area and having the obligation of his family, the need arose to find a crop alternative that would generate income for his daily life. He started to grow coffee together with his eldest son Herminio Perdomo, starting by planting the varieties of arabigo, caturra and bourbon, in some plots that he himself had acquired during the time he lived in the area in the company of his wife.
