A coffee roaster's dream, where hints of blackcurrant and citrus sit atop a chocolatey, nutty body in a complex Single Origin which has all the depth and range of a blended coffee. A bright and colourful bean from one of the world’s most famous coffee-growing regions, held high by wonderfully crisp notes of fruit and berries.
It’s not often that you find such a a finely poised bean - one of those miracles of nature that just somehow falls perfectly together. It’s got the classic acidity that characterises some of the more exotic speciality coffees, but the sweetness and depth of the base notes act as a perfect foil to flavours that, if left to dominate, would make this a very polarising coffee.
When you start with such a complex, beautiful coffee as this it’s very hard to ruin it - so take it how you’d like. Its body is more than capable of holding its own when paired with milk, but if you want to make sure you get the most of this coffee, then we of course recommend drinking it black as a simple espresso - where the fine notes of green apple and blackcurrant will be most prominent.
