Often compared to southern Rwandan coffees, Burundi's offerings are similar but often showcase more floral, delicate notes. This particular bean comes from Mpanga, a central washing station serving multiple smallholders in the surrounding hillsides.
This is a medium bodied coffee, with very pleasing acidity and a short finish. There are floral aromatics and flavour notes of cranberry and lemon. A very pleasing drink, good on its own, or with milk to reveal more caramel, fudge-like flavours.
